We had another exciting meeting with three presentations.
Martin firstly spoke about putting you in control of your business and spoke about going through the base cost and points of profit in a typical business, expanding on his article in the Design Brief.

Matt Clark spoke about supply of F17 Hardwood with Kellies with price rises due to access/ supply of hardwood, also the demise of Tas Timber Engineering. K & D carry LVL F17 matching F17 sizes.
K&D released a new page for Bushfire related products to help with the new BAL requirements under the building act.

A general discussion was held to discuss the changes to our industry - Schedules (directions specified list), BAL ratings, and new OHS laws. There was a lot of confusion and lack of direction by Building Control on some of these items, a open forum is be arranged between BDAT, Building Control, AIBS, in Hobart, Launceston and Devonport so book your space so these items can be clarified.
